Ques: What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?
#SriSri: You know all definitions are what we give to the words. We give meaning to the words. It’s up to you. Knowledge if you think is information and wisdom if you think is integration of it in life, that is one way to look at it. Some people don’t make any difference between knowledge and wisdom.

Ques: How can we realize our true love?
#SriSri: Just know love is truth.

Ques: How to increase self confidence and self control?
#SriSri: Know that you have both of them. If you think you don’t have it and try to achieve it, it will take a long time. But if you assume you have them, you will find you really have them.

Ques: Why are the last rites performed only by the eldest son?
#SriSri: If it was the youngest son performing them, then you would have asked the same question! For someone to be younger, someone has to be elder. And why should the younger one do something that can be done by the eldest?

Ques: What should we do to become like You?
#SriSri: Just follow Me!

Ques: Lord Shiva is blue is blue because He drank the poison. But why is Lord Krishna blue?
#SriSri: Have you seen Him blue? Blue simply indicates vastness.

Ques: Are there aliens in this Universe?
#SriSri: Yes, I am one of them. At least some people think so!

Ques: How should one use the internet efficiently without getting too obsessed?
#SriSri: Just this thought, I don’t want to be obsessed with it, you are on track.

Ques: Where does the soul go when we die?
#SriSri: I think you should keep some things to know later, otherwise you will be so bored! Keep it as a suspense and surprise. Know life here and we will cross the bridge when it comes to that.

Ques: What is the prospect of MA in Good Governance and Politics in Sri Sri University?
#SriSri: It’s such a wonderful course! And today this country and every country needs good governance. And I think every village, every tahsil, every district and state representative or people who want to go into governance or politics must undergo this program.

Ques: How can we stop people from taking bribes for education and good posts in jobs?
#SriSri: We must work towards ending corruption. Go by your right. Sometimes it’s not just the fault of taker of the bribe, it’s also the greed of the people who want to have it. Greed from both sides, people who are taking bribe and giving bribe, both have the same level of greed. This should be chucked. Both should be firm and strong. Not to give and not to take.

Ques: Is Ashwathama really alive or is it just a myth?
#SriSri: You see anyone who dies, we say long live so and so.. So Chiranjeevi means one who lives in the memory forever, one who lives in the hearts of people forever. In that sense, if anyone reads Mahabharata, no one can forget Ashwathama. If you read Ramayana, no one can forget Hanuman. The spirit is always eternal, spirit is always Chiranjeevi.

Ques: Is politics a better option to choose as a career?
#SriSri: If you have inclination and aptitude, just go for it. The world needs good politicians.

Ques: Why is there no webcast every day?
#SriSri: You know precious things are given rarely. So that you could even ask this question! If it is everyday how could you even ask this question?

Ques: What’s the specialty in Ganga’s water?
#SriSri: Yes, there is some specialty in Ganga’s water. I can only say this. There are four ‘Ga’s – Ganga, Ganesha, Guru, Gita and? The fifth I leave it to you to decide.

Ques: What is Moksha? What do I get there? But I like being here on Earth!
#SriSri: I get asked about Moksha every day. Now give me Moksha from Moksha! If you like it here then forget about it. When you don’t want to go there why do you want to know about it!

Ques: I have this habit of expressing a lot. How much should one talk or express?
#SriSri: When you feel you are expressing in excess, you know it. More silence programs will help. Do it at least once every three months.

Ques: How does one develop emotional intelligence in children?
#SriSri: Music, communication, meditation.

Ques: Is it alright for ordinary people like me to expect to be liberated?
#SriSri: Only ordinary people have a chance to be liberated. One who thinks they are special, hold no chance at all! Especially VIPs don’t have a chance.

Ques: How do I increase my qualification for knowledge or grace? Or is it required to have some qualification to increase qualification?
#SriSri: Why do you get entangled in words? Wanting to increase your qualification itself takes you towards it. The one who thinks he already has the qualification gets into trouble. When complaints start then your qualification decreases. When complaints stop and you start evaluating your qualification, then naturalness, humility comes up in you. When we think that we have got more than what we deserve then we feel gratitude. But when we feel that we have a right over what we get then somewhere we start shrinking. When we feel that we do not deserve what we get then we become a master. When we feel that we deserve to get what we are getting then we gone into the labour union category, we are asking for remuneration. Then we cannot become masters.

Ques: A swamiji gave me a ‘yantra’ and I paid good money for it. Do they have any effect? I feel like I have been cheated.
#SriSri: Don’t get into all this. I know a lot of people who don’t know any mantras, they don’t know two words in Sanskrit and they are selling yantras. And believers go and pay lakhs for it and then they come and tell Me that it didn’t work. It will obviously not work! Don’t get into all this. We fall into this trap because of our greed. Have patience, be peaceful and settle where you are. You will get all that you want wherever you are.

Ques: The worldly things make me forget about God. Is this also a conspiracy by God or the world?
#SriSri: Both together are part of the conspiracy! There is an understanding between them both. God tells the world that you keep this person entrapped so that he doesn’t eat My head and come close to Me! Nature and God are not separate. Even your mind is not separate from God. Stop blaming your mind, your mind also belongs to God. Read the Gita, the Gita says that maya or the worldly illusion is divine power, and it is God’s Divine power. So if you keep blaming and fighting with the mind, then you will never win over it. Just surrender the mind, saying that this mind is not mine, it is God’s. Fighting with someone else and fighting with yourself is one and the same thing.

Ques: Why is there a huge ego which comes with talent?
#SriSri: There is a mole in all talents. This is a problem. Nature has made it so. People who are highly talented, you will find that their behavior is not perfect, they have a lot of emotional ups and downs. They get angry and get lose their balance very quickly. We have to manage with that!

Ques: What is your opinion about religion?
#SriSri: Religion has a role to play. Everyone is born into some religion, all the rituals in your life goes through that religion. It has a limited role to play. Religion is not everything. You should be more spiritual. Your movement is from religion to spirituality. That is important. People who move from religion to spirituality bring dignity to religion. And people who move from religion to criminality, they bring disgrace to the religion. And today this is what is happening around the world. From religion, people are not moving towards spirituality, they are moving towards criminality. They use religion as an excuse to further their own agendas. And that has cost humanity a great deal. But when you move from religion to spirituality you will find everybody is yours, everyone is part of you. Otherwise religion divides people. Why only religion, within religion also there are divisions, but when you move to spirituality, not only do you unite within the religion, you unite even across the religions.

Ques: Any advice for young people who want to get into business?
#SriSri: Be ethical. When you are into business, you don’t need to rush to make overnight money, but you should be stable. You should think about sustainable business. It’s very important. In business do not be too greedy at the same time have vision and ambition. Let not the vision and ambition turn into greed, where it takes you beyond ethics and makes you collapse. If someone comes and tells you that they will give you fifty crores if you give them fifty thousand, don’t get fooled by it. The fifty thousand will also go. Have a sustained business.

Ques: Is it necessary to believe in gem stones and astrology after being with You?
#SriSri: Not necessary, you are much more powerful than anything.

Ques: An elderly person wants to die because he is feeling dependent as he is paralyzed.
You know, life is such. You should not feel that I am dependent or that I want to be independent. See that no baby has been independent. Parents took care of you when you were a child. And in your old age, your children or someone else will take care of you. So life in the beginning is dependency, in the end is also dependency. In between we think we are independent, there also we are dependent on many things. But if your attention is one thing, Divinity, you will see that you will not feel the burden of dependency or the frustration to have independence. Both will disappear. People who feel they want to have independence, they are also frustrated. Because wanting independence is a frustration. Come on, wake up! When you were a baby were you not dependent? No baby thinks I want to go back from where I came because I am dependent on my parents! No. Whether in the form of parents or as children or as friends, any help you get from anywhere, you are getting only from One Source. That is Divinity. It is only Divine who are your parents. It is only Divine who is going to be taking care of you as your nurse, or your neighbor or your children or your friends or anybody. Someone will come and take care of you, you don’t have to worry about it at all. So the whole sense of insecurity we build in us, should simply be thrown out, burned down. Don’t think your children will take care of you. When you are breathing your last breath, maybe some servant or some neighbor may come and help you, who knows. But whoever is helping you, it’s not an individual who is helping you, it’s Divinty, it’s God who is helping you in any form. Leave it to that Divine energy to help you when you need it in whatever form He is going to give it. So you don’t need to feel obliged or burdened by anybody’s help. Got it? This is a big problem. We feel burdened by someone else’s help. You don’t need to feel burdened. That is ignorance. It’s the Divine only who is helping through that person. If you have this understanding, the advaita (non-duality) knowledge, then nothing can restrict you blossoming.
