Choose Easy

I met the senior project manager of my job site yesterday, he was telling me how busy he was, that he had to work 7 days a week for 18 hrs a day. This is someone who had a heart by-pass, and is still driving himself to put up with so much stress. The truth of the matter is that he is driving himself to an early grave, I believe that the job did not demand of such, as I, myself had held the same position before.

This is a sort of illusion that has him believe that this is what he should be doing to have control, to be worthy of his position, the fact that it takes many people to complete a construction project, there are site engineers, foreman, supervisors and many other tradesman. His job is to plan, and delegate, conduct meeting to monitor progress, and to make adjustments to the schedule. There is no need to work long hours if you are able to manage your time properly. This is a good example of being in a veil of deception, this man cannot see that there is no such thing as control, not even for his own body. His body grows to the height that is programmed in his DNA, he cannot change this, things move in place by itself, he may be involve in the process but never really in control. If he does not see what he is doing soon he will have another heart attack that maybe his last. The sad part of all this is that, for all his 'hard work' he does not get to enjoy his fruits of labor, He goes home to sleep in his bed but never lived in his own home. But he is quick to show off his big car, and tell people of his position and power.

All of us are in some way having our own veil of deception, it maybe as simple as 'I have to get things done this way, no other way will do.' Well you can have it any way you want, I choose the easy way, no effort needed, just be happy, relax and let things run its course.

Have you at some point in your life found that you wanted something, but do not have enough money to buy it. You waited and saved and finally you have enough and you are able to buy what you want, and at a discount too. And when you have waited for what you want and got it, all the anticipation, all the wanting, the feverishness just disappeared. You see all you need is to wait without worrying when it will arrive, and it will, sometimes even for free. Not many people can apply this to their daily lives, they have to make so much effort for everything they want or do, wasting so much energy and time, when all they had to do was to daydream a little. The real trick is to let go of all the feverishness and watch the magic happen for you.
